Martinhal Residences appoints Seema Lodi as Resident Manager

Seema Lodi Resident Manager of Martinhal Residences
Having spent over four and a half years leading operations at Martinhal Cascais, Seema will take up the role of Resident Manager of Martinhal Residences, opening in Q4 2022. Seema not only brings her love and experience of working with the Martinhal brand but also over twenty years in the luxury hospitality industry, having worked with The Oberoi, Sheraton, Constance and Kempinski brands around the world. Originally from Mysore, India, Seema holds a Masters’ degree in Psychology and went on to train at the Oberoi School of Hotel Management.

You have been an integral part of Martinhal Cascais for close to five years, what does this move mean for you and the Martinhal brand?

Seema Lodi: It is the next exciting chapter for Martinhal and for me to have this opportunity to be a part of this brand is an honour. I am proud to be taking the helm & leading the team at The Residences.

What do you think you bring to this new luxury product – Martinhal Residences?

I would like to think the genuine warmth and authenticity that Martinhal has become known for, an innate sense for the expectations of our guests, our residents and understanding the needs of busy modern families and travellers.

In your view, how will the Martinhal brand experience translate from a resort to an urban residential setting?
As you will all soon see, this is Martinhal’s most exciting project in a major city to-date and it shows, it is also the first luxury branded residences for Lisbon. We have taken over a decade in learnings across our other destinations, incorporated all the amenities and services offer needed for downtime, holiday time and work life balance while remaining true to the Martinhal brand ethos.

What inspired you to work in the hospitality industry in the first place?
Does it sound dramatic to say; I had a calling? Before embarking on my hospitality management training, I got a degree in Psychology. I love making connections with our guests, living the passion of delivering as per their needs and nurturing our great teams in-house at Martinhal.

What attracted you to working with the Martinhal brand initially?
Their ethos: a business and brand rooted in family for families. Chitra and Roman continue to inspire me, their very human touch and approach towards the team and they have proven beyond a doubt that dreams do come true!

What do you think makes the Martinhal Residences particularly special – what do you see as the highlights for residents and guests?
The beautiful architecture, the sense of arrival when you set foot inside our lobby and the sense of place you get from being in such a cool neighbourhood like Park of Nations, having everything right here on your doorstep. The scrupulous attention to detail in the design, the green elements and the service that we have envisioned for the Residences. The stunning amenities within the Residences and its incredible versatility as a place to live, work and play embody a very special community feel.

Finally, do you hope to see some of the same repeat guests in Martinhal Residences in Lisbon?
Absolutely, there is a huge feeling of anticipation and excitement amongst our owners and regular guests to come and experience Martinhal Residences.

We look forward to welcoming them and having many more fans of Martinhal to make memories with us!
